Past Projects, Ongoing Jobs and Proposed Plans...

The Main Electrics Board...
The Electrics were a bit of a shambles when I first bought the boat. This has now been re-done, so as to get everything working. I plan to strip out all the existing wiring looms and replace with new, hopefully simplifying the circuits...Cheers Dad for helping me on this one !

Window Frame Refurb...
I plan to strip all the existing paintwork from the window frames and doors, sand down to the bare wood (Which is mainly Teak and Mahogony) and treat with Deks, which brings out the grain in the wood and also protects it from the elements.

Gas Heater Air Vent...
The existing vent (A badly shaped piece of grotty alluminum) has been removed and chucked. The plinth will be sanded down and stained, then a Stainless Steel Vetus air vent will be fitted...Much Better !

Repaint The Hull...
Started scraping off all the barnacles, weed and slime from the hull (27/04/02), scrubbed clean and hosed down. Began scraping off flakey paint from the hull and topsides. Found a couple of rotten patches, but nothing threatening...To be continued.

Repaint Superstructure...
Scrape, sand, fill, sand etc.etc. all the woodwork on the wheelhouse, forward and aft cabin superstructure. Not sure what colour to paint it all. May stain/varnish parts of it...We`ll see.

Clean Up Rudders & Props...
The rudders and props needed all the barnacles scraping off, and believe me there was a lot. The props have been scrubbed and polished. The prop shafts still need cleaning up...

Repair & Re-fit Stanchion Rails...
Due to some rotten wood in the Rubbing Strake, some of the stanchions have broke free and split the wood. The stanchions will need to be removed, wood repaired and re-fit again. New stanchion rails will also be fitted.
